Christine Brooks, 42 of Mohawk passed away, unexpectedly on Tuesday December 13, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
Chrissy was born on August 5, 1974 in West Winfield, she was the daughter of Lawrence II and Laura (Montany) Brooks. She was a graduate of Mt. Markham School and Morrisville College, she worked as a billing clerk at C.P. Craska in Ilion.
She was active in Brooks Karate School in West Winfield, where she helped her parents, she also enjoyed being at home and sewing for her family and friends. She loved spending time outside and getting together with family.
Chrissy is survived by her parents Larry and Laura; two children David Ostrander of Deansboro and Racheal Ostrander of Mohawk; step children Krista, Sam, Herbie and Kelley; her companion Michel Kneedham of Mohawk; a brother Lawrence III and his wife Wendy of Ilion. She also leaves 3 grandchildren; Sierra, Gabbie (Rudy) and Johnny. She is predeceased by a sister Rebecca.

About Us
The Whiter Funeral Company was started in 1893 by H.A. Whiter and was originally located in Forestport, NY. Following a fire in Forestport, the family relocated in Ilion, and reopened the funeral home in the early 1900's.
