Mohawk Joyce Marie Johnson, 67, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Bassett Health Care, Cooperstown. She was born in Ilion on June 13, 1950, the daughter of the late Donal V. and Florence Lozo Moynihan and was educated in Mohawk Schools. Joyce was united in marriage with Nelson Johnson in Ilion on December 19, 1976. Joyce was employed as an Archives Clerk with Utica National Insurance, she at one time was also employed with Duofold. Joyce is survived by her husband Nelson, two sons and daughters in law Patrick Farley Jr. and Debbie Durse of Frankfort and Nelson Jr. and Tammy Johnson of Ilion, two daughters and a son in law, Jaclyn A. Johnson of Mohawk and Sandra and Dick Wentworth of Ilion, her brother William Moynihan of Mohawk and her sister Joanne Matthews of Auburn. She also leaves seven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Patrick Farley Sr., her brothers Donal R Moynihan, David Moynihan, Michael Moynihan, and her sister Eileen Moynihan In keeping with Joyce's wishes funeral services will be private at the convienience of the family. Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego St. Ilion.
