Ilion Roberta O. Moran, 83, of Ilion, passed away on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, with her loving family by her side. Roberta was born on September 27, 1934 in Utica, she was the daughter of the late Olaf and Kathryn (Cooper) Olsen. She was a graduate of UFA and USC. She worked as a customer service representative at Smith-Treiber and Wittig Insurance, retiring several years ago. She was married to Morris Moran, he passed away several years ago. Roberta was a member of the Home Bureau, the OES in New Hartford and the Tuesday afternoon Mahjongg group. Roberta is survived by her son Paul and his wife Mary Townsend of Ilion; a daughter Linda and her husband Peter Mills of Mohawk; a sister Carol Horvath and a brother William Olsen both of Utica; her grandchildren and a great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a sister Joanna Hamberger. Funeral services for Roberta will be private and at the convenience of her family, interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica.
