Mohawk Earl Reston Pratt, 78 of Mohawk, passed away on Sunday June 3, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Health Care in New Hartford. Earl was born on January 10, 1940 in Blue Earth MN, the son of the late Floyd and Ella (Benschoter) Pratt. He was a high school graduate, served in the US Navy and on June 24, 1961 was united in marriage with Nancy Evans in the Ilion Methodist Church. He worked in machine maintenance at Remington Arms until his retirement several years ago. Earl was a member of the Methodist Church and the Mohawk American Legion Crowley Barnum Post. Earl is survived by his wife Nancy; four children Debra and her husband Richard Mikus, Michael and his wife Cheri Pratt of Mohawk; Mark and his wife Bridgett Pratt, Wendy and her husband Steve Wilson of Ilion; grandchildren Steven and Laura Mikus, Brooke Pratt, Nicole and Andrea Wilson; great grandchildren, Adrianna Mussella and Skarlett Folts; a brother David and his wife Mary Pratt of St. Louis Park, MN as well as several nieces and nephews, in-laws and step grandchildren. He is predeceased by a sister Helen Lutz. Funeral services for Earl will be held on Friday June 8, 2018 at 11 am at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St in Ilion. Pastor Brian Engel will officiate. Interment will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Herkimer. Friends may call on Thursday June 7, from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
