Ilion Esther Stone, 91, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018. She was born in East Frankfort, NY on April 20, 1927, the daughter of the late Glenn and Maude Springer Camp. Esther was educated in W. Winfield, Mohawk and graduated from Ilion High School. On January 19, 1946, she was united in marriage with Harold J. Stone in Ilion. Harold passed away on November 24, 2005. Esther was employed as a shipping clerk with Duofold until her retirement. Esther is survived by her son and daughter in law, Harold and Pat Stone of Ruskin, FL, her granddaughter Carmen Leslie and her husband Tim Morrison, a great granddaughter, Grace Ellen Morrison, special niece, chauffer and caregiver Sharon Ferdula and many other loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, her daughter, Judy Stone, and two sisters, Eileen Watson and Shirley Favat. In keeping with Esther's wishes there will be no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Mohawk Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Nesbitt officiating. Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego St. Ilion. Friends are asked to consider memorials to the Judy Stone Scholarship Fund, C/O Central Valley Academy.
