Ilion
Zita “Kay” Dewey, 72 of Ilion, passed away on Friday August 31, 2018 at Valley Health Services in Herkimer.
Kay was born on August 17, 1946 in Herkimer, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marion (McCarthy) Humphrey. She was a graduate of Ilion Schools.
Kay is survived by a daughter Kelly Penree of Hadley, NY; her special granddaughter and caregiver Shaylynn Dewey of Ilion; a sister Margaret Windecker of Ilion; Kay also leaves six grandsons, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter Theresa and sisters Ann Bowman, Irene Ahern and Nancy Conley.
In keeping with Kay’s wishes services are private and at the convenience of her family. Friends are asked to please consider memorial contributions in Kay’s name to the American Heart Association.
