Mohawk Maria Incze, 87 of Mohawk, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 6, 2018. Maria was born on December 16, 1930 in Saba'd, Hungary. She was the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Sepro"di) Nagy. She was educated in Hungary and worked as a Home Care Aid and also ran a Chicken Farm in her earlier years. Maria was a very loving and giving person who enjoyed painting and gardening, she was also a fantastic cook and baker. Maria is survived by her son Louis and his wife Debbie of Ilion; a son John and his wife, Shelia of Glouster, VA; a daughter Maria and her husband, Alan Brown of Fairfield; she also leaves several grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Louis in 1984 and a son, Steve. Maria’s funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego Street, Ilion with Rev. Robert Wollaber officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Springfield Center Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
