Richard Remp, 56, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Health Care. He was born March 25, 1962 in Ilion the son of David and Margaret (Groth) Remp and was educated in Owen D. Young, VanHornsville. He was last employed as an installer with Enjems Carpet.
Richard is survived by his mother, a son Sam (Krista) of Rochester, his daughter Hannah (Chris) Blystra of Corning, his companion Michele Mohr, three grandchildren Sammy, Maddy and Mason. He is also survived by his sister Lisa Penree of Syracuse and her family Gisella and Eric Stalloch of Oneida, Anthony and Stacey Penree of Syracuse and William Penree of Ilion, also 1 great niece and 3 great nephews. He was predeceased by his father David.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday February 27, 2019 at 5:00 PM from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc. 100 Otsego St., Ilion. Friends may call from 3 until the time of the service.

The Whiter Funeral Company was started in 1893 by H.A. Whiter and was originally located in Forestport, NY. Following a fire in Forestport, the family relocated in Ilion, and reopened the funeral home in the early 1900's.
