Ilion Christopher Scott Stephens, March 21, 1971 to February 23, 2019. On February 23, 2019 Christopher Scott Stephens finished his earthly travels and went to join his grandparents, James and Iola Stephens, Tony and Barbara Romano and his uncle Michael Romano, in heaven. Christopher was born on March 21, 1971 the middle son of Christi and Lester Stephens in Ilion. He attended Ilion schools until he was 16 and then left to begin his journey thru life. Christopher, in his youth, carried on the family tradition of playing hockey as a member of the Greater Utica Youth Hockey. Christopher enjoyed his camping trips and collecting knick-knacks. Christopher is survived by his parents Christi and Les of Ilion, his older brother Mike and his wife Melinda of Goodwell, OK, his younger brother Jeremy and his wife Katie of Frankfort, his son Christopher and his mother Misty; daughter Shadow and her mother Becky. He also leaves his girlfriend Laura Guyer and children Amber, Joe, Dakota and Destiny, whom he was with for seventeen years. He also leaves behind his nephews James, Henry and Ayden and his nieces Riley and Trista as well as a host of friends; his grandchildren Sophia and Dalton. He also leaves his aunts, uncles and cousins. To the Ilion Ambulance crew; Thank you for all your efforts to save Chris. Christopher's funeral service will be held on Friday March 1, 2019 at 1pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion, Rev. Robert Wollaber will officiate. Interment will be in the Armory Hill Cemetery in Ilion. Friends may call on Friday from 11am until the time of the funeral.
