For those of you who don't know me, I am Tiffany, Jean & Ken's granddaughter. I want to first of all extend my gratitude to everyone here today. We are gathered here to honor Jean or known as Nana, a person who we have all come to love and cherish for many years.
All of us have known her in a variety of roles: wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
How can I describe Nana? She was loving, giving and supportive. She cared with a passion unlike anything that I have ever known.
Some of my most fond memories with Nana are: our cruise, shopping trips to Salvation Army, volunteering at the food pantry and playing board games to name a few.
Her family meant so much to her. A huge thank you goes out to her devoted husband Ken of 54 years. My brother Adam Parkhurst & I were raised by my grandparents along with my mother's side. But to her younger grandchildren:
To Stephanie Parkhurst: As you walk the stage of high school graduation in a few weeks, know she is very proud of you. The love you have for other resembles Nana.
To Jr: You have grown into a smart, young, kind man. Continue to go on walks for ice cream & to the Herkimer County Fair.
To Willie: You have a sense of humor like no other. Continue to play board games at Nana & Popeye's.
To Vivienne: Make sure you go after your dreams. Become the best Dr you can be just like your father.
To her 4 children: Melissa Blair, Ken, Randy, & Kevin: She loved all of you dearly.
To David E Blair, Christine Parkie, Heidi & Patty Parkhurst: She loved all of you as if you were her own.
To Mary Engelbrecht, Bill, Johnny & Nancy: Thank you for visiting her daily in the hospital.
And to my family...From Luke Chapter 1 Verse 37 says "For with God, nothing shall be impossible."
God loves you and now you're home. We will see you again someday. We love you Nana.

I was truly honored & blessed to know Jean. She was an Angel in my book.. I got to know Jean through the Herkimer Mohawk Food Pantry Jean was a genuine sweet soul who always thought if others first & herself last. She was sick for a long time.. I hope she is truly at peace & held in the arms of the Lord. Blessings to her husband Ken & Family.

Free
It was 18 July, of forty-four,
Our mother born, a life in store.
She grew and played, a child was she,
A heart of love, God chose thee.
Through marriage and time, her family evolved,
A purpose God gave, a mystery solved.
Wants and dreams, she pushed aside,
Providing her family, love in each stride.
She guided each, by being there,
When no one else was, she did care.
As we took flight, and left the nest,
She watched us grow, with each life test.
Many years of fond memories, I have of Mom,
May she be free to go, to take the Lord’s palm.
May she take His hand, and cross the gates,
Of heaven to be, her family awaits.
No suffering or pain or physical barrier,
To be free at last, the angels carry her.
A grand moment, when they reunite,
Friends and family, she’ll be alright.
The Lord has gained, a soul He brought,
To heaven’s great place, your soul He caught.
Brandy was waiting, a nudge she gave,
She helped you pass, and be brave.
The playful pup, she greeted Mom,
Guiding her soul, to heavens calm.
May your soul be free, again we will meet,
When it is my time, I know you will greet.
So be at ease Mom, for its just a blink,
When we meet again, the Lord will link.
Then we will catch up, on how life went,
With all of our family, and what it meant.
May we thank the Lord, for the gifts you gave,
For no dry eyes, upon your grave.
Trust in the Lord, for He is great,
Your chariot arrives, at Heaven’s gate!
Free at last, your part you’ve done,
Be at peace with the Lord, your heart one!
Love, Ken Jr., Christine, Lily and Merrie

As the youngest son in my mother's family I am deeply saddened by this. I will always love you and I will miss our deep conversations we had about life. I will miss most the message you have left me through the years in my answering machine or voicemail saying you love me and to call back when I could. Most of all and certainly not least the times we have shared through the years at the house with Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's Celebrations. I will remember all the birthday parties. You were always there when I needed someone to talk to through heartache and distress when things happened. I hope you share moments with my best friend William Moschetto and all our family members whom have gone before you. May You Rest In Peace now and Forever. I Will Always Love You Forever.

I hate goodbyes, so it's until we meet again sis! I have been fortunate and blessed to have had you in my life all 74 years of yours. We've been through the good and the bad together. We have had lots of great memories not only as sisters, but also as friends. I will miss that, but I know that you are no longer in pain and suffering, which will give me some comfort. I'll love you forever sis and GOD bless you!! RIP!

I will never forget this wonderful "little sister" and the good times we had. Sharing coffee breaks, watching our babies grow, and dancing to Wipe Out at the Ilion Moose club.(Dance style was belly dancing) Hope She recognizes me when I get to heaven so we can once again laugh, cry, and dance together . Love you "little sister". Rest well now.
May God be with all her kiddos and of course with Ken. Love and Hugs, Nancy and Will
