I am writing this on Memorial Day, 2021, a friend and fellow Veteran who served with Charlie Beuaharnois in the 507th Transportation Group, Saigon Port, Vietnam. Charlie was the first Vietnam Vet who welcomed me to Vietnam in December 1970. I was a newbie and he took me under his wings. When I knew him, he had some tough times getting through his 2nd tour of duty and when I left, he was missing in Saigon. I've been haunted by this memory for so many years...thinking of him as missing in action. I did many searches over the Internet to find him, and this picture looks possibly like Charlie, although there's an outside chance I'm wrong. If it is you, Charlie, I'm so sorry that we never reconnected in life. I wanted so much to know how you fared after Vietnam. If this is you, I would appreciated any further information from your loved ones about how you fared in life after Vietnam. If you have passed, Charlie, please know that I'll never forget you and am so very sorry that we never reconnected in life. God Bless You! Chuck Welch, SGT E5, 507th Transportation Unit, Vietnam, 1970-1971.
