I knew Howard for many years and worked with him for quite a few of those. There are few people who had a better attitude or demeanor than Howard. He was always one of the first persons to lend a hand to others without complaint. His example of being a kind person and a family oriented person is an inspiration to all who know him. I am glad to have known him. I hope his family will enjoy his memories for years and years to come in spite of missing him in the here and now.

The pain of losing a loved one is always difficult to bear, but is especially hard when it is someone like Howard. It was truly a pleasure to have the opportunity of working with him for several years. Howard was always; punctual, dependable, efficient, knowledgeable, and most important a pleasure to be around.
Betty and family, I pray that you will be granted comfort and peace as that is the most powerful thing any of us have to do.
Regards,
Neal Bostwick

I was deeply saddened to hear of Howard's passing. He was famous for answering every question with a resounding "great" and a warm smile. He made many a friend while working at DSS and will be missed by all. Heartfelt prayers and blessings to Betty and all of Howard's family and friends.
