Herkimer Margaret Fulmer Moylan, 76, passed away on March 12th. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Patrick Moylan. She was predeceased by her brother, David McAdam Fulmer. She attended St. Bonaventure University and Colgate University. In 1966, she began teaching English in Ilion NY and was beloved by her students, with many considering her the best English teacher they had. She retired after 20 years due to Parkinson’s disease. She and her husband were very active in local theater, and she performed even after her diagnosis. She loved music and singing and performed for three summers with the Saratoga-Potsdam chorus in Saratoga, with the Philadelphia orchestra. She was a prolific writer, with her poetry highlighting the ups and downs of living with Parkinson’s. She will be missed. A memorial service will be planned for the summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Parkinson’s Foundation - parkinsons.org or to the Presbyterian Homes Foundation 4290 Middlesettlement Rd. New Hartford, NY 13413-attn.
