I have many treasured memories of Liz from the 1970s, when she lived in the house on Vickerman Hill.
She was great at encouraging reading & imagination. The dress-up drawer, filled with beautiful dresses and wigs and costumes, shelves full of books, special treat trips to the library. Dipping beeswax candles. Free range of the house, the barns, the beautiful farm. A Pete Seeger concert. Big warm hugs. May memories of Liz bring comfort.

We were sadly surprised to find that dear Liz had left this earthly plane. JP knew her from his days in high school, and then i was privileged to know her after we married in the 80s. We had the loveliest times with her and other dear friends, like the Luddens, at Bible studies she held in her home. She was really a great lady. We wish to express our sincere condolences to those left behind to miss her, family and friends all. We'll see you on the other side Liz. bj and JP

First I would like to give my condolences to Jim, Jose and the rest of Liz family. We all were kind of like a family to her right. You finally got your wings Liz. You have always been there for me weather it was to pray over me, have a cup of tea and give me advice.. Boy did I give you a run for it sometimes. You have been such a positive influence in so many peoples lives. Always being there to help everyone just had to fit them in your schedule. Thank you for giving me Jose without him I wouldn't be who I am. We all have soo much to thank you for. I am blessed, grateful and a better person to have known you. I am soo happy your not in pain and so sad that your not here. Your spirit will be watching over all of us I know. Till we meet again have a laugh with Gloria for me love you Lady!! I also have a bible you gave me and I will cherish it forever

I had Mrs. Skinner as an English teacher, and she was very influential in my decision to become an English teacher myself. Of all her qualities, I will remember her most for her compassion. I witnessed it firsthand, and it made a huge impression on me and how I treated my students.

Not only was Liz my Earth Science teacher in Ilion HS. Her and her husband shared many hours with us at Salvation Army. Cooking and witnessing. They both helped me through rough times and with my son. You are an Angel in heaven as you were here on Earth Liz. You will be sadly missed. Much love to Jim.
