I did not realize that Susan had passed away until reading the deaths in our Emory magazine. Susan and I knew each other when we were serving the local church as pastors. We attended some conferences together. She was committed to Christ and the Church. Susan had a great sense of humor and the gift of music. Our lives went in a different direction, and I lost contact with her. I am better for having known her.

Susan was an important part of the University Club of Winter Park for many years, and she will be missed. Her fellowship and ministries among us were a great blessing! May God's great comfort be yours, and overwhelm the sorrow of being parted for a time.

Dear Ann and Ed, Your sister was a great friend! We shared some special times together after we both returned to the Mohawk Valley to be in ministry. I am sorry to learn of her passing. She had such a good heart full of God's love! Sending love to you with prayers for peace as you mourn the loss that many of us share with you. --Patti Hadcock Lawrence
