Vernon Center - Mr. Robert Salvatore Treen, Sr., 61, of Vernon Center, formerly of Ilion and Frankfort, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with his wife by his side. He was born in Ilion on December 23, 1961, the son of Robert and Ann Minosh Treen. He was married to Suzanne Raux on November 15, 1985 at the Herkimer Pentecostal Church. Bobby was at one time employed with Union Fork and Hoe, he worked as a security guard for the Department of Criminal Justice, Stuyvesant Plaza, and The Albany Institute of History and Art. Then he became a full-time caregiver for his daughter, Christie. His passions were many; bowling, boating, jet-skiing, snowmobiling, traveling, cars, drumming, dancing, painting, hunting and his family, friends, dogs, cat, and chickens. He is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne; one son and daughter in law, Rob Jr. and his wife, Abby; one daughter, Christie; one brother and sister in law, Jon and Vanessa Treen; two sisters and one brother in law, RoseAnn Treen and Nadine and Danny Basler; his father-in-law, Ronald Raux, Sr.; brother in law, Ron Jr. and his wife, Melissa and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bobby is also survived by his dogs, Emma, Jack, Shira and Kronos; his cat Tempeste and his chickens, Chimmken, Pot Pie, Fajita, Stir Fry, Nugget, Fratata, Poached, Omlet, Scrambled, Sunnysideup, Overeasy, Skillet, Quiche, Deviled, Rosie, Annie, Marie, and Bea. He was predeceased by his mother, Ann; father, Robert; grandmother, Rose Minosh; mother-in-law, Bea Raux; dogs, Snowball and Star and chicken, Roast.
