Mrs. Walsh was my fifth grade teacher. My appreciation of her has deepened with the perspective that time alone can grant you. She was kind and patient, and had a terrific wry wit. She deployed all of these qualities and more in the service of her calling--a calling she took quite seriously.
She made an impact on me--I was better for the experience of having been her student. I am clearly not the only one who can make that statement. I offer my condolences to her family.

I only had the privilege to meet Carol briefly when she was visiting Mary Margaret. Despite this brief encounter, it was obvious that she, like her sister, shared the same warmth, caring, and loving spirit. As I read the story of Carol's life, I was touched by her loving commitment to her family, but also by her unselfish dedication to raise money to help find a cure for ALS. Clearly, Carol made the world a better place to live in. Our heartfelt sympathy on your loss.

Mary Margaret, John and family,
I am so sorry to learn of Carol's passing. She was taken much too soon. I can remember all the times spent at your house, especially mornings when I was dropped off to avoid the school bus. Though I didn't have a sister, you and Carol showed me that there was a closeness that only sisters can share. I hope that memories of happier times can help you during the days ahead. My thoughts are with you and the family.

Our condolences to Mrs. Walsh's family.
She was the 5th grade teacher to both of our sons and was an amazing teacher and mentor to her 'kids'. Mrs. Walsh was the teacher every parent wanted for their child, full of love and enthusiam. She instilled a love of learning and a good dose of organizational skills in every one of her students.

Mrs. Walsh was my 5th grade teacher, my favorite teacher and a teacher that changed my life forever. She will be missed but her memory and all of the good she did lives on in so many of her students. I wish the family all the best at a time of such loss but also joy in having shared a great life with a very special lady.

We send our deepest sympathies to Carol’s family. She was a great lady who always had a smile. We were fortunate enough to have had Carol and Jerry make a video for our foreign exchange student of her year with us here in Ilion. They did a tremendous job. Rest In Peace Carol and we know you are now with Jerry. God Bless the entire family.
