Condolences from the Darrow family. Ed was our neighbor for over 19 years and we shared a driveway. Ed was a very caring and helpful individual. He loved to help snowblow our driveway in the winter. He loved his dogs and always would walk over and give our dog Duke a treat. Ed will surely be missed.

I will never forget Uncle Ed’s infectious laugh. Growing up a diehard Bears fan in the Griffin family was not easy. I was at the receiving end of a lot of jokes and Gramps and my Uncle Ed were often the ring leaders. His laugh could fill the largest room and lift you up in that moment. A great man that will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure to know him. Love you Aunt Sue!

My dear friend growing up on East Clark Street. We were right next door to each other, the same age and we spent so much time together just being us. Seems I was always at the Griffin home but my fondest memories were sitting on the porch swing with Ed chatting, laughing or just being quiet. We had a wonderful friendship that I am thankful for. I only saw Ed a couple of times through the years and he was still the young kid I remember. That great smile! I am so sorry to hear he passed away and send love and prayers to his family for healing. Fondly, Geri Simonette Hendrix
